New England Native Plants

A handy start up list of New England Native Plants. Please note, not all natives may thrive in your area due to ecological needs. Research the plant material, take soil samples of your landscape, and act accordingly. Though some are listed as native does not mean the plant material will be tamed, cause some are aggressive growers. For example Carolina Rose (Rosa carolina) is a beautiful addition to the garden but is suckering and will fill a space quickly aggressively.
